Future Leaders for Postdoctoral Researchers, 18 Oct-29 Nov 2023

Calling all postdoctoral researchers working toward a net zero future!  Whether your career aspirations are to work in academic research or in a public, private or third sector organisation you’ll need the skills to lead and develop others to achieve your goals.

In this fast-paced, certificated programme you’ll explore leadership theory, try out practical tools and work collaboratively with peers. Invited guest speakers will share their experience, focussing on specific leadership and management challenges that arise in a variety of relevant contexts.

This leadership programme is an opportunity for you to visualise yourself as a leader and develop your own unique leadership style for maximum impact.

C-DICE are fully subsidising places for 20 postdoctoral researchers to attend this Future Leaders training programme with Skillfluence.   Each of these places is worth £700.

What previous participants have to say:

“This course truly unlocked my ability to lead effectively, but also gave me massive insight into myself and my own qualities!”

“I found the sessions on strategic planning, effective communication and development level discovery very helpful”

“Jen was a fabulous convenor and truly made this course inspiring. The guest speakers were great also and allowed us to see theories in application and ask questions of an individual in a situation we may see ourselves in some day.”

“I found the whole course inspiring and it was so useful to have the lecture and then the practical exercises after. It was also such a non-scary environment I feel that that made everyone really comfortable to do the practical exercises together well.”

“Thank you for an insightful course where I have developed a lot. I didn’t even think that I could develop these skills because they’ve always been so abstract to me.”

86% of participants have already applied the tools and techniques to their own situation.
