C-DICE EDI Working Group – postdoc wanted

The C-DICE Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Working Group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the Group. Given that the development of postdoctoral researchers is core to C-DICE, your involvement in the EDI Working Group is crucial and therefore we will give an honorarium of £300 as a compensation for the time you give to the role. We encourage applications from postdoctoral researchers with caring responsibilities or protected characteristics to apply.

EDI is integral to our definition of excellence and is embedded in all of our activities. Our dedicated EDI Working Group aims to develop and oversee the delivery of the EDI agenda of C-DICE. The group focuses on:

  • taking actions to advance equality and equal access to opportunity.
  • monitoring C-DICE’s performance on EDI.
  • removing any barriers and enhancing the participation of people with protected characteristics in our activities.
  • seeking and sharing best practice with EDI communities within all partner universities.

The postdoctoral researcher representative must have a current contract at a C-DICE partner university. The successful candidate will be joining a group of academics, researchers and professional services staff that meet every two months to monitor the EDI processes and ensure every aspect of C-DICE is inclusive and accessible to all. This will be an opportunity for the new member to share their insight and assist C-DICE to enhance existing processes, explore new opportunities to support EDI, and ultimately foster an inclusive and non-discriminatory environment.

The post is for one year and consists of 6 bimonthly meetings and small occasional work in between.

Guidance on how to create an Inkpath account can be found here.

Deadline for applications: 14 October 2022, 5pm.
