Frameworks for Sustainability, Wednesday 6th July 2022

Why do we need transdisciplinary frameworks to address sustainability challenges? In this lunchtime webinar, you will gain an overview of holistic approaches for addressing these challenges.  Shifting thinking from identification of a problem towards implementing practical solutions is a key focus and you will be introduced to a range of frameworks or tools that can impact your research.

Postdoc-led, Dr Yesmeen Khalifa is an experienced C-DICE training provider, currently working at Keele University as part of the electric vehicle charging project.  Dr Kahlifa will guide you through frameworks including life cycle assessment, circular economy, nexus approaches and urban metabolism.  You will consider applications to case study scenarios and discuss the frameworks before considering how to apply ideas to your research field.

This lunchtime webinar, which is taking place from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Wednesday 6th July, promises to be an informative, fast-paced and valuable training session, with opportunities for interactivity built in.

Intended learning outcomes:

  • Identify some of the key issues around sustainability and describe some of the key frameworks available in tackling these issues.
