Your essential EDI Toolkit for every stage of research
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in higher education and research is more than a moral imperative – it’s a driver of innovation, excellence, and a more representative academic future. Since 2020, we’ve been committed to advancing inclusive access to research and skills development, empowering researchers to embed EDI principles throughout their work.
In February 2024, we hosted an online workshop designed to help postdoctoral researchers integrate EDI into their research practices and strengthen their proposals. It quickly became one of our most popular sessions. The enthusiastic response made it clear: there’s a strong demand for more support in this space.
That’s why we created the EDI Toolkit – a collaborative initiative developed by C-DICE in partnership with Loughborough University, the University of Nottingham, and the University of Birmingham. This practical, modular online resource offers guidance, case studies, and actionable strategies to help researchers embed EDI at every stage of their work.
The EDI Toolkit at a glance
- For all career stages: From doctoral researchers to senior academics
- Learn by doing: Interactive, real-world scenarios
- Broad impact: Designed with net zero researchers in mind, but valuable across disciplines
- Professional recognition: Earn a Microcredential
We’ll be soft-launching the toolkit across C-DICE partner universities before making it widely available later this summer.
Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to get involved!
