Webinar: How to Say When It’s Not OK by Professor Elizabeth Stokoe

Webinar: How to Say When It’s Not OK by Professor Elizabeth Stokoe

When someone says or does something problematic or offensive, what are our interactional options for responding, right in the moment? In this session, Professor Liz Stokoe will present research findings that underpin practical strategies for saying when it’s not okay – whether you are dealing with sexism or other ‘-isms’ or something else. Liz will use examples from actual encounters, recorded ‘in the wild’, to open up a discussion about why it’s much easier to say what you would do in these situations, than actually do it, and then present some options and their likely consequences.

Taking place on Thursday 25th November from 12pm to 1pm, register today to reserve your place at this webinar.
