Latest newsletter – video skills, India Sprint winners revealed, share your views on the skills framework

Our latest newsletter features two new blogs: First, we explore how short, authentic video clips can make your research more accessible, spark meaningful conversations, and reach wider audiences. We share tips to help you get started and invite you to earn the Videography Skills Micro-credential by taking part in an online masterclass, starting in November.

Next, we reveal the winners of the India Research Sprint in Pune to address one of India’s most pressing environmental challenges: plastic waste. All participants earned the International Networking Micro-credential and are continuing their collaborations sparked by the event.

Our research and innovation skills for net zero framework was launched recently and we’re inviting users to share how they’re using the framework, whether for career development, mentoring, or planning training, and what could make it even more useful.

Don’t miss Dr Fred Amonya’s upcoming lecture, Net zero and complexity: Britain’s window in a wild world, explores how complexity science reframes net zero as a civilisational shift, highlighting Britain’s limited but meaningful role in a turbulent global energy landscape – drawing on his two decades of experience advising governments and global institutions on infrastructure, governance, and mathematical systems.

Plus Green Future Fellowships with the Royal Academy of Engineering, abstracts invited for the Institution for Civil Engineers’ new Resilient Transport Conference and much more.
