Assessing Carbon Impact Part 2: in-person workshop Mon 13 Oct 2025, 13:00-16:00

This is an in-person, interactive workshop which puts the principles introduced in the Part 1 (webinar) into practice. This workshop will provide a practical and interactive application of the carbon impact assessment framework. We will explore real case studies and apply the framework to your own research projects.

This training will provide you with an opportunity to develop your understanding of assessing avoided carbon emissions within research and introduce the framework for application on your own projects. In order to attend Part 2, the participant must have attended Part 1. Part 2 will take place at the University of Birmingham.

Travel Fund

C-DICE has established a fund to help postdoctoral researchers attend face-to-face C-DICE events where they may otherwise not have the funds to do so. C-DICE will contribute up to £150 towards the cost of travel and/or an overnight stay. Attendance at this workshop is eligible for a C-DICE travel grant. More details can be found here.

Caring Support Fund

If you are accepted to join the workshop but your caring responsibilities could present a barrier to participation, you can apply for the Caring Support Fund to meet additional costs. The purpose of the C-DICE Caring Support Fund is to help postdoctoral researchers with caring responsibilities to offset the additional costs of caring incurred by taking part in a C-DICE activity.
